seeking the supernatural

The Apostle Paul said that all things are allowable, but that not all things are profitable.  I was struck today with how rarely I measure my steps by this ruler.  I hear a lot of people including myself discussing what is allowable, but precious few discussing what is most profitable.  If we are simply to pass the time here till God calls us home; these discussion are reasonable.  If God has called us to be ambassadors of His Kingdom then we have got major priority problems.  God could cause the clouds themselves to burst into flames and shout from heaven His truth, but He has chosen instead to use me and you.  He is advancing His Kingdom through us.  Are we making ourselves ready for the task?  Are we just killing time?  I want to measure my steps by profitability for the Kingdom.
